There is always excitement when a new archaeological find is announced: a burial ground, a site of religious significance, a horde of coins, a fortification, and in the case of Wharram Percy, a deserted village. Imagine a day several hundred years hence when archaeologists of the future are poring over artefacts we use in our homes today.
