Many of our traditional crafts and the surnames associated with them originate from activity associated with the forest: Bowyer, Cooper, Fletcher, and Fowler all describe a woodland trade. “The King’s Feast” focuses all these trades in support of a single feast, illustrating the subservience of the forest workers.
